I love how Heo Jina is an already sorta medium skin woman who likes to tan further. Especially in a country like Korea (Asia in general actually) where the beauty standard is having skin as pale as possible. Ngl I don't understand it though, maybe bc I grew up most of my life in a western country where white ppl love to go out and tan, but I just love how darker skin looks. Honestly even sometimes I wish my skin was more tan, and I'm saying this as someone who already has medium to tan skin. Anyways, I just love the approach the author took. It rlly saddens me to see people not appreciating darker skin tones bc they're just so beautiful (and sexy).
