I think its him and I feel like this might be the "one more test" or final test Lin Daosheng was talking about on ch86 before he can finally decide to take over his body.
They're prob making him meet his real friends instead of the projections or illusions they've been forcing into his mind to see if he still cares about them, or if he still has any emotional weaknesses left, whether all those tests truly broke him or if there's still a part of him that's holding on i think IM LOSING MY MIND

unfortunately the raws have stopped at ep 91 while the authors work on season 2 (merry writing to them!)
in ep 91 tianlang (dominick) goes and finds yaoguang (yale) in a sort or temple? with him staring up at a headless figure. yaoguang makes a hand sign, the ones that he and tianlang have always used as secret codes SO I have hope he doesn't forget them at all my resilient baby
then he proceeds to shoot tianlang thrice
tianlangs pov fades to black with the last thing he sees being the headless statue
in yaoguangs pov we see a man (one of the bad dudes probably) make a portal in the statue to take him back so yeah I think he did that just cause they were being watched
I HIGHLY doubt he actually dies cause plot armour right
they have like 5 lines of conversation happen when yaoguang basically catches tianlang as he falls but I'm such a chud I gave up on learning mandarin after like 30 characters so I have no idea of what they said
also pls don't tell me it's yaoguang in that last panel if the fuckass torture brainwashing worked and he's back to fight against shanyue and the others then I'm actually just gonna have to d1e
