I dont even remember how many times ive reread this one but it still makes me cry haha, so basically they will end up together but the bottom wants to make sure he doesn't leave behind anyone or anything unfinished, that's what they mean by bittersweet, they just take a little while longer for them to actually be able to be together

So I’m debating on reading this one but everyone in the comment section keeps crying over the ending and when asked about it just says it’s ‘bittersweet’. That’s like.. not enough info for me. I’m not in the mood to spend hours reading just for them not to end up together or to even worse to get some unsatisfying or open ending bs (not a fan of those).
So please spoil it for me. What does ‘bittersweet’ even meannnn here?
