So - I'm currently working on a novel and talking to someone who lives in South Korea and we were talking about this. She explained that Garam is a purely Korean name (there's no hanja like with other names) and purely Korean names have been growing in popularity. So I think that's why it's popping up more. There's another purely Korean name I saw in another manhwa (she gave me a list of popular ones). Sorry for the rant but I found it interesting!

Why is garam such a common KR BL uke name... (i actually dont know if garam here is an uke but that's been the case for the other 3 i know)
