I'm sure there's a lot that can fit those tropes, but this reads as a call out to The Hunter Wants to Live Quietly it's the only one I know that fits off the top of my head lol
You could read works that you normally wouldn't to get away from them for a bit? Using myself as an example, I tend to stick to Fantasy/Supernatural BL. If I ever want a break from my usual, then I just choose smth that isn't in the center of that Venn diagram lol (or I could read smth completely outside of it!)
why do we love bls that have ukes with survivors guilt etc. etc and a seme that was saved by uke in some distant past and either one of them of both of them don't remember their past.
