i gotchu! basically, theo is a lawyer and at the beginning of the story we see him going through it bc him and his high school sweetheart, gunner, had just broken up or somewhat. gunner ran away with important documents theo needed for a case.
dylan is a young actor. theo meets him at a club, they have a brief run in with one another where they have a makeout session but upon paparazzi catching them they stop.
dylan’s manager (the man we see in this chapter) goes to theo and basically asks theo to live with dylan as a roommate to help him get out of his bad habits. theo needs a place to stay anyways since he’s too afraid to go back to the apartment he shared with his ex gunner.
dylan and theo don’t get along at the start but eventually start a casual relationship where they sleep with one another. dylan gradually grows feelings, theo is still heartbroken and not over his ex. dylan goes to california to shoot a movie and tells theo, ‘when i get back i have smth to tell u’.
meanwhile, theo goes back to his old apartment to search for some documents. gunner is there. they sleep together multiple times (it’s not consensual but theo doesn’t fight back bc of his lingering attachment). gunner eventually ends up shooting theo in the leg. gunner runs away again. theo moves out of dylan’s apartment and stays with a friend as he recovers. and where we left off before season 2, we see dylan is back from calif, meets with theo who is acting strange, and the ending of season 1 alludes to theo being addicted to painkillers…
