i get your point! honestly this was one of the more surprising turnaround plots i’ve read in a while. was expecting the author to pull a steel under silk plot on us with the ML going full toxic, but ig the author somehow turned it around and said nope, I want a happy ending HAHAHAHA but this works for me lol
Decent toxic read but I think a more tragic end would have suited this story. I don't really buy the redemption I almost would have preferred the Emperor remained peak toxic. Him dying of the toxin and the MC being haunted by him rather than relieved would have been perfect.
