…totally not the point, but-

I know this isn’t the point of the story but it feels like the author couldn’t come up with an actual reason for GW not to get an abortion and threw in some medical bs to get around it. At that point wouldn’t it just make more sense for GW to not realize he’s pregnant until a little further along in the pregnancy? Like that would at least explain why it’s so difficult for him to get access to an abortion and it would likely be more difficult for him to make the decision to end the pregnancy. That feels so much more organic than “you’re pregnant btw and u can’t get an abortion bc simon says no”
