actually i was wishing for him to said that, cuz him going to xinlu would create a huge misunderstanding. but I think even if tae said it, ilay would not care cuz nothing important to him than taking taeui at that moment lol i couldn't blame tae as well cuz he's been force to make a decision in that critical moment and prolly cannot think clear and of course his brother is more important to him so he has no choice but to go to where his brother is.
