The story was okay, I liked a lot and there were some things I didn’t. Overall a nice read. The look of the ML falling/being in love is what kept me reading this, I really like how he was drawn and how soft he looked. I felt the characters were realistic in a way I could empathise so good on the author for that.

Mc has some self-esteem though there are times when it takes a back seat due to trauma and his love for ML. I liked how the author showed the repercussions of the confinement/torture Mc went through while not dragging out the actual torture for 60 plus chapters. Thats a point of contention for me in other stories with similar triggers, it’s rarely shown how it affects Mc or the ML for that matter. I didn’t enjoy the dark chapter’s no surprise there, but I appreciate how they were done. Not totally mindless smut in my opinion. I loved the first 29 chapters and the time period they were set in, I want to find more with this time period minus the rape.

ML ‘woke up’ at 20 and lived at least 13 years without the Mc he loved. In that time he reflected over what he’d done wrong and then protected the Mc of that world. It’s not a bad punishment for a ML like this, no where near the level of violence the Mc suffered but I’ll take it. Let’s be honest if MLs had to go through what bottoms survived they’d kill themselves.

I could pick at a few things, like how ML lost control the first time they had sex in this new life or how the Mc of the new world before he ‘woke up’ was being coddled through life by both his mother and ML. One gave us a chance to see that the trauma had followed Mc to this life and Im not against being a little dramatic. ML did stop and apologise so thats something. And then the coddling probably has more to do with his mother being over protective and giving ML the excuse to be that way too.

Mom also hasn't the first idea of what her son is going through or the mental scars he's living with so Im not mad at her but moreso disappointed in the ever growing number of parents in BL who unknowingly love and respect MLs that have raped there kid. I don’t enjoy author's doing that, Id rather the parents just be trash if thats the case. In there past life when Mcs aunt went off on ML and even stabbed him I was honestly shocked, a BL Mc having an actual support system that isnt another man wanting some ass??? Shocker.

ML being a badass at the showdown with those losers in the end was awesome! I felt giddy when he started talking shit and then tossed that guy out the window. Perfect!

The reflection in the last chapters was interesting, that and how the Mc and ML are essentially tied together which forces Mc to suffer consequences for pushing ML away I didn't care for that. Mc saying he thinks ML suffered more than him hmmm I think swallowing nails would have been easier to swallow than that line.

My finally thoughts…GIVE MC HIS LONG HAIR BACK!!!!!

“If only I hadn't oppressed him and essentially made him a prisoner.” Har har har If only I hadn't almost, sorta kinda, basically locked him in a room, fed him drugs, got shocked he ended up addicted to said drugs, assaulted him daily for hours on end— MLs are so funny!
