At this point, some BL authors seem genuinely incapable of creating drama without resorting to rape or other toxic tropes. It’s like they’ve convinced themselves that abuse automatically equals depth.
There are so many ways to create tension, and move a relationship forward but noooo they have to keep reaching for the exact same toxic trope over and over again.
