Not to mention the scattered fucked up relationships that are brought up and then abandoned. I genuinely thinks thats required for the patients and the audience to see. Like this story isn't about Fate or anything that omegaverse is usually about, its about these two characters falling in love and going "fuck all these difficulties I give a shit about this fucker and I want to stay with this beloved dickhead". Like the plot is literally one aspd dude who's into bdsm, master-manipulating everything so that he can gain a new tool, only to get hella attached and freak the fuck out when someone tries to take that object from him, and then feeling devastated and running away when that object goes "why don't you respect me ): you're mean"
Like its enitrely Hayden and Brett's decision to be together and I think thats beautiful.
UGH theres just something about a character that is so fucked up finding someone that loves them for all their freakiness. Like I just maybe its because I'm neurodivergent and feel broken on the inside but the idea that you can find and hold onto your happiness as long as you try your best to understand others is just UUUGHHHHH my heaaaarrttt <3

Season 3 was fast paced but also I think it was good fast paced, like it actually felt like a month rather than going on forever in universe
The side couples were important because they display our mc's insecurities and feelings.
Like they all have their purpose in the story.
Brett's brother was obviously introduced to depict Brett's lack of understanding of empathetic people, like Brett gifting him the dead bird is Brett's first "mistake" in satisfying people he cares about around him. It depicts how Brett's detached from his emotions but he has an "in-group" that he wants to protect because he sees them as a part of himself. Its also so its alot easier way to convey that Brett manipulating the trial like he did, was his way of "courting" and gifting something to Hayden. Furthermore, everyone thought his brother was going to stay with the hot lady forever, Brett's brother getting divorced but having a kid thats just like Brett is literally to show that Brett is scared to get married because then the happy life with Hayden might end. Brett being like "I should teach my niece how to play cards" is him reconcilling with child-self and the apathy he unconsciously has. It also parralell with Hayden being like "i'd accept your gift" and Brett's brother being like "This reminded me of you, so i took the time to try to understand my daughter and understand why she did that" Like I just 10/10, would love to see more of the character but you can't say he didn't have a mutli-purpose.
omega dude was used similarly. First he was bait used by Brett to lure Hayden, but he's also there to mirror Hayden's desperation for affection and to mirror Hayden's growth in stepping out of his comfort zone to be what he truly wants and desires. Furthermore, Brett like 10000/10 used that interaction to test out a different way he could satisfy Hayden. He knows the way he would originally do it, just get rid of the uncle without telling him didn't work. So, he gave omega dude ALL of the information, he gave him all the options and then provided him with a way to protect himself and to choose the option that is most beneficial for omega dude and himself. He literally used that experience to "lure" Hayden back. He knows Hayden likes rough sex, romantic shit and him (brett) for some dumb reason. But then his immaturity shows and he does the shit like drugging Hayden and pissing him off because he understands how to piss him off alot easier than to make Hayden happy. Brett's scared that Hayden wont accept his caged bird gift so he basically rocks up with a bunch of dead pigeons hoping maybe if he does the same solutionn but like in smaller ways maybe he'll still get what he wants. Brett's unintentional kindness in helping omega dude also results in Hayden finding out about it. Like its literally because omega dude tells Hayden that he meets up and makes up with Brett.
