I was here since day 1 too and stopped reading for awhile to marinate, but I heard and saw what happened. Basically the author included the n word on one of their chapters. I think it was hard r too? But I'm not sure. One of the antagonist's was the one who said it, but as you can see, a lot of people didn't like it. Including me, cuz what were they (the author) even thinking

there’s an entire arc for the new teacher they hired who is a “pacifist” who grew up in america and lived in majority black ghettos. his first mission is where he’s sent to a majority black school where 1 kid was being bullied for being “the only pure korean” or whatever that means. anyhow, his way of “schooling them” is calling the perpetrator student the hard r.
