novel ending

dude i js finished the novel, the ending was buns bro the totally unnecessary rape scene hello?? that just completely ruined all ilay character development for me. zero fluff or any redemption after that too?? ilay i cant keep defending u, it was so disappointing bc i really liked ilay until that last bit in the novel. i was willing to ignore evt else he had done bc i know this story is meant to have a toxic black flag ml, obv he wasnt gonna be a green forest anytime soon or ever lol - but that rape scene was genuinely so random and stupid that it ruined the end for me so much omg - and no redemption arc nor apology is crazyy
anyway, im gonna read passion raga now yayy i hope its gud
