Remember the old man who had a wound so deep on his hand that it would’ve definitely needed stitches to heal? Could it be that whatever phenomenon happened that healed him also somehow affected the real shepherd?? Although simultaneously, can we even say the shepherd IS human??
We’re all thinking that the real shepherd was the creature lurking in the forest, but that implies that Hyunseok knew this all along because of the episode in which he went with a stick to beat him up (also his dialogue on this scene is very telling). The red glow of what seems to be eyes in that scene specifically appeared to be anything but human. Not only that, but Hyunseok made an extremely ominous comment in the forest when Mr Kim remembered him; something along the lines of “you made me human.”
Something smells real fishy here, maybe I’m just wearing a tinfoil hat but idk.
I have a lot of questions.
