Ain’t no way people are attacking the author these people are HORRENDOUS
They're pretty notorious. They've been at it since even before the story came to an end. Called the author a genius then when it ended and it unsurprisingly did not go the way they bitterly hoped, they started berating and harassing her and the story. Then to cope, they built this crackheadcanon based off inconsequential background assets from the story and ran with it and started shoving it down everybody's throats that there was a secret ending where Ian and Jo reunited after the story in Chicago, the canon ending be damned. XD Of course it's all over social media, the author sees it and had enough and shuts it down hence the crash out. It's all embarrassing af for them.
AND they don't have anybody to blame but themselves.
Guys, it's not that deep. Let's take a deep breath. There's fanfiction, stop threatening the author and go write some fanfiction (〜￣△￣)〜...
