This last situation irks me so much. Even tho they grow up with unique parental situations they are on completely opposite ends of the spectrum Honestly people from loving households who's family has died are the more selfish in this situations. "If it was me I would want to talk to them again" but his parents arent yours, he didnt have the same relationship with them that you had with your own parents. Not only he's projecting his grief onto him but also the whole withholding sex is so manipulative and weird. I get the author try to made it into a comedic moment but is still so off putting
