what a load of bullshit and god i hate that i liked it. It was so good at first but quickly went downhill. Jiho was obviously flawed since the beginning and i really liked that. He was a victim of abuse and grooming and that really fucked him up in the head. Yoojoon on the other hand was sheltered. He showered Jiho with affection but Jiho wasn't used to it, sure it made him feel genuinely loved, but it also made him feel shitty inside. It was so beautifully expressed how much he rejected the idea of someone loving him.
I was honestly just expecting Jiho to heal with Yoojoon instead of a separation timeskip (timeskips just aren't it) I suppose that separation made him realize how much Yoojoon actually matters to him and how he can't live without Yoojoon's unconditional love. It was just so poorly executed, the plot got so messy with eunjeong's(?) brother. I thought I'd get an elaborate chasing arc with Jiho properly explaining everything but no, he got raped, Yoojoon forgave him again and again without hearing an explanation, and yet another separation (this one I'm not really mad about because Jiho was still tied to his deadbeat father and he really needed time to actually heal from his psychological wounds.)
tl;dr
I liked it to an extent, Jiho is flawed and unwell, Yoojoon is a bird, timeskips arcs are horrible, eunjeong's brother getting stabbed was not enough for the amount of shit he caused, the angst was fantastic.
