while im a little sad we didn't get to see seunghyeon fall in love i think this makes a lot more sense narratively and is more satisfying for his character arc think about it he wasted his entire youth and early adulthood crushing on someone he didn't end up with; he was stuck in a rural location where he didn't get to have a varied group of friends; so for him to broaden his horizons that way and find acceptance in people that aren't the same ones he's been interacting with his whole life, that's true growth.
