I wont say its the best omegaverse ever, but I love how the focus of this story is identity formation, relationship building, and navigating strange circumstances outside your idea of normal. I also really love how this story combines painful "what-ifs" and regrets into character building and better relationships in the future which honestly really is so realistic :( It's such a beautiful plot that I would recommend as a must-read for any first-timers into BL omegaverse because of how beautiful and tenderly sweet the narration of the MC is about their own reflections, circumstances, and relationships. I also love how, despite the whole rut & heat discussions being constantly thrown around, sex has never been and will never be the only thing tying a relationship in omegaverse together. This is such a gem in the BL verse and I really do thank the author and artist for bringing this to life.
Also, unpopular opinion, but the second couple's story was really quite necessary here in my opinion. It shows a good contrast and antithesis to the narrative of the main story and validates what we already know about the omega-alpha dynamic, but also allows us a counter narrative by giving the omega an exit plan (just stoopid that he went and took that dipshit back, but I guess love makes us all crazy and stupid is one takeaway from this story too).
