I don't think they will, he just said that he loves Leo more, because before being a lover he's Leo's father first.
At least that's how I see it for now.
Yeah I think thats just an explanation lost in translation hes a father before hes her partner therefore Leo is his priority until she can fend for her own and hes making that clear so we gotta respect it
In the novel phileo says that he loves leonia more than varia and if ever the two are in danger at the same time he will save leo first…. Im kind of disappointed that (i assume ) they change that part
