It doesn't look like ai to me ig they added some blur effect to portray the chaos well it could be ai upscaled cuz I don't trust that scan group but ig it's not
i dont think so. in a lot of the crowd scenes, if you look closely some of the people repeat, sometimes with colors changed but yeah. they use stamps/assets and blur but doesnt seem like ai
looking back at the chapter now, it's most likely just ai upscaled by asurascans (though I haven't checked the raws yet)
I understand the use of assets, one of the reasons I brought up the crowd scenes is not because of that but because some of their features seemed to blend together like something that was ai upscaled
I think one of the more obvious panels that were upscaled is the hyuna one (specifically at page 8 where hyuna says "shes pretty good"), where if you zoom into her eyes, it has that effect that ai upscaling does to a drawing (making things alot more rounded, and kind of mushy if that makes sense?)
but I didn't exactly mean to accuse sctir of using ai !! I love sctir/msch very dearly, it's just that its becoming a lot more prevalent in the webtoon industry to use ai, which is why im sort of wary
infact, one of the artists in charge of msch/sctir has posted about this topic and showed just how it easy it was to cover up an ai generated image and make it look human made, especially when the ones that are modifying it are also professional artists that know what they are doing and can easily cover up the ai's mistakes
but I think for this, it's just upscaled (hopefully!!)
