I liked it but my god there was so much going on for no reason, especially towards the end. Sleep walking. Edward losing his entire business. Percy attempts murder for like the 4th time. FL also makes insanely stupid decisions with no regard for her life, and the way she so easily believes Percy knowing he threatened Madelyn and also kidnapped them prior, is ridiculous. Like he's a cheater, refused to help FL, kidnapped them, repeatedly ruins ML's life - but for some reason FL trusts him over ML? ML's reasons are a little empty but overall I liked him the most. Author also throws away characters like nothing. Madelyn gets shoved off to boarding school. Batten comes & goes. FL's friend suddenly shows up with a train ticket despite not helping her "friend" for the 3 years she struggled. The writing also is very messy and hard to read at times. It's not clear who's speaking at times and the inner thoughts are constantly switching mid chapter.
