Prob an unpopular opinion and I’m still halfway through the story, but I feel like Hes is more immature than how we’re intended to view her. I esp thought that when she was internally gloating at how Prince had to ask her and ML (who are his subjects) for help with banquet. bro it’s a good quality if a high authority figure can swallow their pride and ask for help to make sure the necessary things get done. He doesn’t even seem that conflicted asking for their help (unlike someone truly arrogant) so it doesn’t even feel that satisfying. Maybe Hes is happy he is desperate, but it still comes off as a bit childish that she doesn’t even recognize this as being a sign of good character in a future king. She is happy when ML is finally relying on others instead of doing things himself, but then turns around and secretly sneers at the prince for doing the same.

Smth about this kinda feels disjointed when I actually pause to think. Not to mention how she treats ML more like an idol who can do no wrong rather than a human, and how she has yet to actually think about what he wants. He doesn’t want this revenge and didn’t ask for it, so she really is just doing it for herself… I’d continue reading to see where it goes, but prob just as smth light with my brain off.
