I need to ask! Why would the dad being the male lead matter? I don't frown upon there being lawful consequences for incest lol and even non-blood related incest is still incest. But since it's just a book and I was a little confused why everyone dropped because of it. Like is it a moral thing, or you just can't imagine it adding to the plot, etc?

it honestly just grosses me out, even if they aren’t blood related in the end, I think if I were raised by a man who treated me like shit my entire life and then I found out he was not actually my dad, I would still see him as a “father figure” even though that’s not what he was since he neglected her. I wouldn’t be able to personally find someone like that attractive nor move on from it (even though he never physically abused her)

Also, from what I’ve heard her brothers are also love interests so it’s just weird to me (not saying that the current fiancé is ever going to be the better option)
