I can totally understand if they want to cooperate with each other. But so far they're not being transparent with each other, but alrd doing so much for each other without any base of reason. Beside it lacks of trust, it also failed to makes us see them compatible with each other both as a team and as potential romantic interests. I dont rly feel anything while reading this.
He is like Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon. Even the costume lol....

It was very good at the start but the ml keeps aura farming it becomes dull. There's no moment of him showing his fragile side, weakness, or smth that makes me close with his character. Its a shame but me personally i cant stand an overly nonchalant character its so bland. Also the whole thing abt duels is so messy, theres no proper place ( in the middle of a BANQUET??? Are u fr? ), is there no training groud around the palace??? So u guys just gonna fight, there?? In a room full of people??
