This actually is the end, I think it's not only in the middle of the book, as someone mentioned before. In the end note the author states to read the novel for the side stories (2 more books), so I believe a lot of things will get concluded there, as every so often. But it is actually sad that they won't include the side stories. I've been thinking to read this now that it's official, but if there's missing something that could be important, I might just read the novel instead, lmao.
