Why is she so dead set on believing that it's romance Novel. She doesn't have any clue if it's a novel or a parallel universe or a different world or something. in what kind of romance fantasy world would there be so many murders and so many suicides and so many creepy things happening. And why would she draw that summoning spell without even knowing what it summons. and why couldn't she get a clue at the orphanage? The director had the same summoning spell drawn on the floor and she was trying to feed kids to whatever the creature that she summoned in exchange of a wish. That's a huge ass red flag right there , like girl take a hint. You have eyes and a brain. Also, why would she rip off a page of her mother cursing out her father and sent it along with a letter to her dad, like what was that supposed to achieve? It just makes you look so fucking creepy.

I think it's bc she tryna cope with generally the fact that this world is fake. I don't think she wanna believe this world is real so believing it is like a stereotypical fantasy novel is comforting to her. Bc in the few parts of her thinking about her parents and then realizing the characters are not just characters but people and are complicated disturb her. She didn't wanna think too deeply about her parents or how she even got here, she cut herself off before it got depressing right? Then she got disturbed bc she realized the ML was confessing his love but had like bigger emotions she would want to see in a "character", making him feel real to her. I think it kinda makes sense.

It probably doesn’t help that she physically can’t see certain things, like how she can’t read some documents. So whatever’s going on with her is trying to keep her from actually knowing what’s going on.

its pretty much the same premise with "im not the demon god's lackey" he thinks he's a measly librarian or like haruhi suzumiya, a clueless girl but actually a reality bending god

they have someone keeping them from learning the truth and/or actually just clueless

Too cope, she mentioned this in a previous chap(the only one were she was genuinely serious)

Tbh I'd probably assume it too. It's the trope, that's actually what I read most as a genre. She was also seeing and reading characters ending up in book characters as villainesses. That's why it came so naturally to her. Also, she's afraid she'll change the "story" too much. No other male character has Gabriel's prestance and Kana's type of characters often do end up being FL's. It's better to assume it is the case than to ask too many questions and get it wrong in her eyes + it's comforting to think you get it. That you can control what's happening around you, that you know what's happening.

Ok. Let's say that is a coping mechanism. But why is she going around saying I shall grant you a wish, like she's some kind of god or something, she ain't no god. She is just causing more misunderstandings. And also at this rate she should just get a loudspeaker and announce to everyone that she is possessing the og body. miss girl don't know how to be sensible

Well, she wasn’t going around saying she can grant wishes, the first time they met she told the woman she couldn’t help. Only when did she meet Melek, could she “grant” her wish. The other times she was just going around to help people because she thought it was within her ability to, which it is so far.
She doesn’t act sensible because of how she copes, which is believing the world is some sort of romcom novel. Anything too complex like emotions from the “characters” and she shuts it out. She might treat others as people on the surface, but the insistence that they’re only characters allows her to act thoughtlessly. The only things she worries about is getting caught (which everyone already knows and is unlikely to tell her since she could get mad) and the people she took under her wing. Plus she probably thinks her behavior is close to the OG since she believes the OG was a villainess.
