the cycle of reincarnation is endless until u achieve nirvana but the reincarnation cycle could also mean that in the next life u are not human or sentient species, maybe a tree or an ant so its kinda rng but there is the whole equation of karmic debt that is involved in the process so ig considering taesun doesn’t actively harm anyone and he is literally married to a mountain god there’s a good chance he’s at least going to be born human
I was a Buddhist, so I know all about the concept of reincarnation and nirvana. Even if he were reborn as a human being, there is a chance that he would be from a country far away. There's a chance that they might not ever meet each other.
There's also no guarantee that Taesun would be a good person in his next life. Hence, his chance of reincarnating as a human being is risky.
That's why I hate immortality stories that only show one of them reincarnating once, because what happens after that one's next life? How about the other next lives?
As a Hindu myself I can tell u the souls, who earns good karma after many hardship they born as a human but it's upto their souls to decide that if they want a life or want to observe by Devine, of course after reincarnation they do not remember anything but in some cases the oldest and powerful souls remember or have sense. In their case I think Taesun don't remember but he may have a sense of unfulfillment and for ML I think he remember because he have powers.
I know this is just an unserious story, but reincarnation doesn't only end in one life.
I'm not talking about one after life. I'm talking about next next next lives. These kinds of stories with one immortal and one mortal always mention only one afterlife and act like it's a happy ending because they meet again, which is just not true, since the mortal one is going to die again anyway.
that’s why i said its rng sometimes u just pull the short end of the stick and i guess taesun’s just the needle that geumryang’s decided to pull out of the metaphorical haystack i mean at the very least they have the optimism to make that kind of promise dunno if it’s hubris like with his grandpa or geumryang is actually able to make good on it but when it comes down to what taesun’s character would become in his reincarnation that’s already subjective because there is no objective answer to whether or not our characters are predetermined or a product of circumstance anyways so it really just boils down to effort on geumryang’s end to accept whatever the end product is but bruv imma be fr it’s a romance which means that u either let it end as a romance or let the series go on long enough to watch it evolve into a tragedy
No. I just hate this trope because a lot of questions are left unanswered. It's a fucking romance story, make both of them immortals or mortals, I don't know.
It's not like I want it to be that long, but it's also clear that the authors are not thinking really far into their future.
It has been done multiple times: one person dies, comes back, and boom a happy ending! But they'll die again.

Well, yeah, but with stories that involve immortality, I can't help but ponder what happens after that next life? They'll die once again in that next life, and there's no guarantee that they'll reincarnate.
