I thought it was fine because it's what the uke wants, whether consciously or subconsciously. It's not like he was being forced, more like he was going along with it because he also liked it. Seme is also pretty whipped so it's not one-sided. The uke does keep his personality, there are times when he's firm on things or takes initiatives.
Not sure if you completed the whole story yet but there are a lot of reasons why he was "pushing", as you would call it. What I'm trying to say is that the uke is not pushing because he likes to push but it's always due to other circumstances. Hope that makes sense.( ̄∇ ̄")

I loved their push and pull dynamic started. But when they got together and the uke became really submissive it lowkey fell off. I wish the author kept some of the ukes personality.
