Yeah, I don't understand why Korean authors don't add switch couples. Like, it doesn't make sense at all. Idk what kind of prejudice they have against it, but damn, none of the Manhwas I have read had a switch couple. But, I have a feeling "Our Sunny Days" might make them switch, like at least once. I think if they do, then it might have more authors creating Manhwas with couples that switch. I personally think the author will do it, but idk. Hopefully, I win the bet lmao.
Probably bcs of their culture. From my experience, their life is super hierarchy based. Everything has a rank there, age, status, seniority, etc. So people are used to thinking in fixed roles and i feel like that mindset kinda carries over into BL manhwa too. Once a character is established as top or bottom, they're usually stuck in that role and rarely switch

i mean i don’t mind strict couples?!!? im actually more used to it since that’s what’s i read the most BY FAR (i don’t really know actual decent works with switch couples, my favs r all strict)
the stories i’ve known with switch couples r more sex based and im more like “plot > sex”.
i’m just not really a fan of sub-top/dom-bottom, i mean overall i find “bdsm” boring, so it’s very rare for me to actually enjoy a manhwa/manga that has it.
i couldn’t agree more, and honestly its something very easy to notice when u start to read a bunch of manhwas.
im not really a fan of sub-top and dom-bottom… I genuinely prefer a 100x switch couples over this. but well that’s just my personal taste, i’ll probably drop it (such a pity tho because the story seem great)
