We really gotta stop letting Hyunjae x Yoojin shippers and shippers in general gaslight us into thinking their whole thing is “just harmless fun” and never hurts the gay community. I wouldn’t even care that much if not for how loud and aggressive they get, cause their behavior doesn’t stay with just them. It feeds straight into bad stereotypes and ends up bringing unnecessary hate toward the whole community.

First off they regularly harass and attack creators just cause the story doesn’t match whatever headcanon they made up. Famous writers like Horikoshi from MHA, the author of Gachiakuta, and loads more have all gotten hate and pressure exactly for that. And when people simply call out their delusions or tell them to just go support actual confirmed gay stories instead? They tell us to go d!3, lash out hard, treat anyone who sees differently like an enemy. This isn’t just one small group in one fandom, it’s the same pattern over and over everywhere. Honestly it’s ironic how their own toxic behavior proves exactly what we keep saying: shipping like this is never just innocent fun like they claim.

They act entitled, pushy and hostile, so when they get called out or face backlash? That’s fully earned. The unfair part is outsiders see all that mess and wrongly lump it together, thinking this is how gay people act. They paint the whole queer community with the same ugly brush just cause of one loud, problematic minority. This shipping culture is honestly one of the most damaging things we deal with. It sidelines and disrespects real proper representation just to feed delusions, strengthens unfair stereotypes, and drags our whole name through the mud for absolutely nothing.
