She was killed by a rebellion in the first life by Perez if I'm not mistaken/ a rebellion happened that took her life with the first prince. Tia accelerated her downfall and saved the Lombardi from getting taken over/sold off because her uncle (the one who was going to take over) was working with the empress.

I said this back on bato: I enjoy watching Tia be successful, but it's so rewarding because her adversary is someone like the Empress. That woman is so hateable but competent as heck, lol
Every time a machination fails, it's not a reflection of her poor planning or thinking, but highlights Tia's brilliance and foreknowledge. Without that, the Empress is quite formidable.
In another time and place, maybe the Empress could be allowed to be successful and less murdery (maybe she and Tia could've
been besties-LMAO, NO), but alas~
