god these stories always piss me tf off.. like the entire family was stripped of prestige bc a daughter supposedly can’t have kids? really? he wasn’t even a true contender for the fucking throne as clearly the crown prince had all those people in his pocket
IF ANYTHING keeping him alive, having him marry the FL then struggle to have kids would be BENEFICIAL as there’d be less chances of more royal children.. and it’s nicer for PR.. but ig the FL needed an unforeseen condition to give her some really stupid bottom of the barrel inner conflict and make her INEVITABLE love story with that random man she was thrown at more complicated bc she’ll be like “b-but i can’t have kids” and he’ll pull some bull shit like “you already have kids, our kids” and gesture to her now step-children.. who love her apparently.
