oh this just triggered my biggest pet peeve. mothers that choose not to protect their children; if you are aware how ur mother was “too hard” on your child and has a whole history with making them feel less than… why would you even tolerate that person’s presence, or moreso, put ur child in an environment with them.
that is your child for fucksake, that both side shit pissed me off so bad and it’s not even a central part of the story.
