its so strange when parents introduce new partners as their "new mother" to their already grown children.. stop disreagrding the child's history and trying to force a nuclear family when they have already moved past that stage of life. of course a relationship can be built up overtime but thats totally to the discretion of the adult child. imo its unfair to expect them to be open to it off the rip or even ever..
