I'm not rlly gonna comment on the romance part since at this point he doesn't even seem very romantically attracted to her? Like he says he's not even sure if it's that kinda like despite the fact she kissed him (still weird). Idk my main focus is how good the story is outside of that. The MC is simply doing everything he can to protect those he cares about when all he can do with his practically bottomless Yin energy is death rituals. This arc is making me scared though I don't want any of his friends to die...
