Probably because she really is a side characters (not one of those who become a main character later) the artists have more freedom.

i only know that her name was familiar and she already has made her appearance at kmiyc
i even had to go see and double checked it
only to realize she really was chase's co-star in the movie they were making whom i was so captivated on bc of how beautiful the way she was drawn

honestly i still haven't read kml (manhwa and novel) which i know is a bit off the track since i think it is the first of the stories in their universe to read
but i started with kmiyc manhwa first so i thought her first appearance was there.
it's interesting to know she has been a recurring character from all of them manhwas
why is naomi suddenly light skinned she's like a whole different character from kiss me if you can and i prefer her artstyle more from there tbh
but ig maybe her look now is more accurate to the novel?? idk haven't read it yet
