i’ve been feeling pretty mixed about grayson as a character and it really bums me out to see ppl say that he’s better in the novel and that this adaptation is trash :((( i hope they tie this story and his arc(?) all together nicely somehow

Grayson is such a well written character. His novel version is 10x better than here.
Grayson by this time in novel the readers had already understood him like 60% and were able to get into Grayson shoes whereas in manhwa he is shown as a direct psychopath whereas he is not a complete psychopath but he has problems and he addressed them and behaves with it which is so much better.
Novel was based completely on Grayson pov currently so we were able to understand him so much better but the artist ruined it

Someone commented under my comment that it was the storyboard/script writer who's responsible for the direction of the adaptation, hence why the manhwa version looks so shit(not the art, but the way they narrate the story). Look, I ain't defending the artist, but someone said it under my comment why the story felt off, so I wanted to say this. (if this is fake, please don't hesitate to deny what i said)

How was the dog thing redeemed in the novel?

Grayson never had a redemption arc if ur curious. The arcs that Grayson had were about his character growth and readers understanding Grayson was the main theme of the novel. Instead of a redemption arc the Author made us understand him and have him growth which is a much better writing.
Grayson does apologise to every people he hurt including chase but that's the maximum of it u will get. The dog thing wasn't brought up much because Dane didn't care about it and Grayson neither so never much that's all. So u will see growth and like Grayson more that's all.

Ohh I kinda know the storyboard but it also done with the consultation with the artist and author so they all are equally responsible and it's just sad

oh man, that actually sucks... its like the author is doing a favorite child with her novel works. I'm sad that Desire Me If You Can is getting the middle child treatment, i know they can do it but chose not to, man this sucks
