Main story review (an NFR allegory lol)

This story felt like listening to a Lana del Rey song. The MC is a true yearner with a profound melancholy that you only get when you've experienced solitude all your life. He feels things more intensely and deeply than others. On the other hand, ML is everything Lana sings about on her songs. He's a vain and charming manchild that lives life as he pleases. What makes him attractive is the way MC perceives him. Not only is he in love with his looks or personality, he appreciates every mundane detail about him and transforms it into the most romantic poem.

I can't help but feel like MC is idealizing ML. I did enjoy the main story but I don't think I'll ever reread it. I was reading in hopes I would like ML but that moment never came. I never found him dreamy the way MC did. (SPOILER ALERT) He did redeem himself in the end by acknowledging that his vanity almost cost him losing the love of his life but I still don't feel like he deserved to be that adored. But MC likes him and that's all that matters I guess.

I only read it because I related to the way MC felt things deeper than anyone. (SPOILER ALERT) But then I saw that the side stories where done by a different artist and people were saying they weren't good so I think I'm done with this story.
