It’s dependent on the author. From my memory, in the first storyline that goes along with this one, omegas have all the power with marks. They can basically do whatever they want, but alphas with marks can only sleep with their omegas. Don’t remember all the details of it.

I was asking myself the same thing but I guess now a days (spoken as a true old ass) writers kinda make their own rules and it doesn’t imply here? I’m confused too

And it still don’t make sense they should still figure this out even if it was the alpha or omega.

Because chase is dumb he doesn't see ...wants things to be put on the plate for him even if he can see the food in the pot....he can see that mark but noooooooo let's act dumb about it

In terms of figuring it out, you have to keep in mind Chase’s characterization. Viewing it from the lens of a highly traumatized alpha with memory gaps on what he’s done and who he’s been with…. I think it’s kind of expected that Chase’s first thought isn’t “huh I wonder if we slept together in the past”. That’s a pretty unrealistic reality to toss about for him, as well as the human instinct of innate and subconscious reasonable deniability. We as the readers are obvi like “it’s right there” but we have an omniscient point of view.. he does not.

At least that’s my take on it. It seems reasonable to me. Everyone is entitled to their own interpretation.
