overall, theres a lot of loose ends which leaves you with more questions than answers. i’ll start:
1. mr ji’s powers: we never saw the extent of it. for someone who was a triple s esper, powers never seen before, yada yada, he really didn’t do much. except for the start when he rescued taehun, all he did afterward was essentially throw tantrums and showed off his powers, but it really wasn’t much. it was quite disappointing to see him being talked up so much, but nothing to back it up. and what is the extent of his powers? he refused to undergo testing except for the matching, so how was he even classified as an sss esper in the first place? for someone with such a magnitude of power, how did he go under the radar for 13 years like that?
2. kim gaha WHAT THE FUCK. i was truly not expecting that, but it was disappointing how it was just dropped as a bomb on us readers and no further elaboration. did oh jinwu truly never have the smallest inkling of doubt and understandably so, and does he ever find out the truth?
3. lee hansol, was there no way for the centre to come up with a way to keep him alive? is he truly dead? why did jinwu go down and carry hansol’s body, when he despised him and couldn’t wait until hansol was dead?? the doctor wasnt an esper, so despite how he programmed hansol, he wouldn’t really be able to keep that in tact, right? if hansol were to disobey him, it’s not like the doctor had powers that were automatically triggered and would hurt hansol in turn. and could the centre not find a way to get hansol help? im sure there was something in his brain that was triggered whenever he disobeyed the doctor, probably like feeling the onslaught of emotions flicked a switch in his brain. for all those years, for a centre with such intelligence and what what, they really didnt do anything about hansol and jinwu
4. the doctor. girl what the fuck was up with that crackhead. his demise was unbelievably stupid. he fr just died like that?? gave himself up by yapping on about the same things over and over again, and cackled away like a third rate villain. what in the hell. also his headquarters being in the fucking basement of the centre HELLO??? youre telling me after kim gaha’s death, the centre had codes changing every 2 hours for protection, but couldnt fucking realise a genocidal maniac was living in their basement?? be so fucking for real
5. the parents, the list?? all that stuff the doctor was spewing at the end was literal gibberish and then apparently it was a bunch of people that killed mr. ji’s parents. was mr ji’s uncle and the family butler also in on it because they stole the family’s wealth as soon as the parents died? what was the need to throw such a big revelation in at the end for, when it didn’t even get a proper conclusion? it seems like there will be side stories since at the end of the last chapter, it says to be continued, so did mr ji end up getting the list from the doctor and plans to pursue this in the side stories? why would the doctor even give mr ji the list anyway?? he was already dying, and being tortured slowly at that, mr ji couldnt have done anything further to make the doctor give him the list
6. their bond. so basically, hansol died and the bond got transferred back to the original owner, im assuming. so why did mr ji still temporarily end up going through corruption? as soon as hansol died, it would’ve transferred straight to taehun. otherwise none of this makes sense. i mean how else did mr ji get his shit together and calm down when other corrupt espers have to be restrained and/or tortured. if the author comes with some bullshit about how mr ji is fine because he’s an sss esper so he could withstand corruption OH BROTHER
7. what happens to oh jinwu now? does he just work for the centre? does he ever learn the truth? without a guide now, how does he survive??
8. so basically, taehun’s friend died for nothing. i do understand that his death was the catalyst for the experiment, because it allowed the doctor to show off the power he had and whatwhat, but the doctor could’ve done that anyway. did the author forget they wrote the doctor to be some evil mastermind that created the very foundation of the centre in the first place?? all the doctor had to do was rock up at the doors of the centre and threaten everyone with his understanding of the system and im sure everyone would’ve bent to his will. at the end of the day, 10 years after everything, the centre was still using the very system he created so he had the power over the centre even without threatening to be a genocidal freak
for now, i think thats pretty much all of my criticisms. i hope we do get side stories, but i fear unless it’s like 25+ chapters, i don’t think all the questions will be answered properly. and even if they are, it’ll be rushed just like this pathetic ending. this story had incredible potential, but the author threw in far too many complex plots and rather overused cliches, ie. the amnesia, and couldnt deliver
