i would pass up immortality, i don't wanna live forever. i'd hate to keep living while everyone i loved and cared about died. i'd hate having to continue existing in a world where everything keeps changing around you eternally and even with all the people it would be lonely as hell cause all your connections and ties would eventually die off.
keeping up with a changing world is exhausting and other people suck so i don't wanna deal with any of them without my support group of familiar faces. also you'd have to change your identity all the time so the government doesn't come dissect you and making fake identities is super difficult in this day and age.
I know this fiction cause who would pass up immortality. Lol
