It’s not as bad as you think it is - but the top is just sooo fucking unlikable. It’s like the story itself is fine, the bottom is fine, but the goddamn top is a whiny cry baby who throws actual tantrums - he’s not even fun? Not slightly evil or plotting, not kind, not golden retriever, not a jerk, not older, not younger - not anything he’s just a legit unlikable character.
