Maybe so his family could disowned him and so Cheol could finally go to Minyoung. Minyoung tried so hard to separate Cheol from his family because his father and brother constantly beating him up but Cheol doesn’t want to. See in his dialogue that even though they hurt him they are still family. It is obvious since he’s still with his family after his brother pushed him from the building. Maybe that made Minyoung had enough and confronted Cheol’s father which created the mess 14 years ago. That got them separated and Cheol hold a grudge to Minyoung. Maybe Cheol isn’t that angry if only Minyoung apologized but Minyoung probably thought that them two being together when they don’t have the power, money and connections will repeat the same mistakes all over again. So Minyoung disappeared. Remember what Minyoung said to Cheol’s father? Minyoung said that that he made a 15 year plan and this time he won’t mess up. Minyoung cameback rich, powerful and with connections.

Honestly another voice in me was saying all this to me too,, but I feel so bad for my cheol that I can’t bring myself to defend Minyoung and even as a viewer w all background plots given to me, I cannot excuse what he did, bcoz as a queer person who has also been outed to my family by a close friend, it fucking sucks man and my cheol already goes thru sm shi back home now why tf would Minyoung think that this plan was the most feasible one? Yes actually that’s why many hated Minyoung for what he did and in the recent Chapters he himself admitted that what he did back then was the greatest mistake of his life. Probably he was highly emotional back then witnessing Cheol almost died and still choose to comeback to his family made him lose his rationality to think logically which in the present he regret so much. Though what he did is kind of unforgivable but at some point in the story Minyoung admitted that his past mistakes were his greatest mistakes in life and for me admitting that to yourself is one of the hardest thing to do, I mean to admit that you mess up? That’s hard but Minyoung easily admits it. Maybe that’s why he has been patient even after Cheol got married he never hold a grudge against Cheol about it, as a matter of fact he’s chill about his ex wife.
I truly truly don’t understand why tf would Minyoung out Cheol in front of his family.. when knows WHEN HE KNOWS HOW FUCKED SHI US IN HIS FAMILY WHY TF WHY TF WOULD HE DO THAT TO CHEOL FOR WHEM HE IS READY TO KILL HIS FAMILY FIR!!???!?????!!????
