It's trust issues dude. Have you been paying attention at all? He wants Jay but not knowing if he can trust him stops him from getting involved too much. And he's 100% right.

I have, it’s just really funny to me that he’d let him get booty deep into him a crazy amount of times and somehow brush Jay’s “you’re mine,” but the second he’s complimented Shin’s all confused and defensive it cracks me up, like… son… lock-in.
Am I crazy for genuinely not understanding if Shin ACTUALLY has romantic feelings for Jay??? Like, whenever Jay does something that can remotely be seen as “romantic”, Shin is always like “?? What the fuck is wrong with this guy?” like, son….
