It's a bit all over the place bc my memory is a mess There's a duke (black hair) and the empress (blonde) The duke made her the empress and while everyone thinks that he's her dog, he's the one calling the shots (though he always said that he's just doing what his empress wants) He's also her primary source of support in the court They knew each other from childhood and loved each other but then his family got framed and he became her servant at one point, then he got sent to war but before that happened someone (i think it was her brother) told him that she was the one who supported the decision so he went to war, hating her bc he thought she betrayed him He came back, killed the royal family and spared her (by giving her the messed up choice that if she wants to live she gotta suck him off) They have sex with each other but she's not getting pregnant bc she stopped mentruating It's not clear why, it could be bc she became infertile or bc she's in a fucked up stressing situation In a way, she still loves him and feels extremely guilty and responsible for what happened to him bc she wanted to protect him when she was still a princess but she also hates him for what he's become The atmosphere in this story is like the one in My beloved oppressor, gorgeous art in full color
