Realizing the beauty and genius of this manga too.. just the initial parallels between fully knowing and understanding someone through physical appearance vs internal self, I love the way this is explored and how the layers of each of them are slowly peeled. Like neither of them expect anything out of the other given their experience (even more traumatic for saya) and the absolute dopamine hit of seeing their surprise when they realize that they can and that they do understand each other and love each other.
