They were already dating when he was a high schooler, people would call it strange if the genders were reversed. Like I said it might be because I'm an adult reading this, but I think a college student has different life experiences even if the age gap is just 1 year, also he's a minor living alone. Also google tells me their age gap is actually 2 years.
Because I wasn't sure about the age gap when you said it was one year and I remembered it was 2 years? lol I mean it's pointless to argue with you if we disagree, I personally find it strange, if you don't know what I mean by different life experiences between a university student and a high schooler this conversation is stupid, also there's no need to be hostile just because we have different opinions about a manga
Two years is nothing. Heck, I'd say a two years gap is normal pretty much everywhere except for in the US from what I've seen. He was preparing for his uni entrance exams when they started dating and she was in her second year. And no, it wouldn't be weird even if the genders were reversed. As someone who's fully done with uni, I view the second years as kids as well tbh. PLUS in Japan it's totally normal for a slightly older woman and a younger man to date. Stop being so damn dramatic.
its not like akane is groming him or anything... Dating an older partner is fine, he is in his last year of high school, akane is on her 2nd year of college, what are you disgusted with... Even if the gender is reversed I will not think this is weird. Unless it involves some grooming or yamada ia on his junior high

Aside from how I hate stories where one character is a university student and starts dating a high schooler, what made me roll my eyes here the most is how everyone keeps saying that Yamada is handsome, all the time lol In some series, like in Ouran, it can be funny because it's a joke, but in this manga it's just annoying. So you're telling me Yamada is a high schooler, a pro gamer, super handsome to the point that every single character needs to remind us, he's also smart and has time to date a university student...Sorry, but as an adult I cannot help but cringe how unrealistic this story is.
