It's kinda part o the story that he's been set up and he's trying to keep his distance to protect mc. I recommended being open to the plot bc the twists and turns in the novel were really good so hopefully the adaption is true to the novel.
I deeply dislike the ML. He's a manipulative bitch. Like I just want the MC to man up and open his eyes and stand on business and make the ML actually beg for him
